COVID-19 Survival Project
This is a project which we have been delivering since the start of COVID-19 in March 2020. Ensuring Walsall’s vulnerable and isolated communities are fully supported and are kept safe and well during this pandemic.
We are grateful to partner organisations who kindly donated food and grocery items so that we could set up a food bank, shopping and delivery service. With limited finance, we sought to seek funding to develop the work and provide as much support as possible.
The National Lottery Community Fund, Charities Aid Foundation, Walsall Council Making Connections Programme and the Heart of England Foundation, have been a lifeline to the organisation. We have delivered over 400 food parcels, provided hot home-cooked cultural meals for residents across the borough, and has increased the Befriending and Counselling service.
